The Piedmont Envionmental Council is proud to bring together ten of the leading artists working in the Virginia Piedmont Region in atraveling exhibit curated by Willian Woodward.. The exhibit opens in Charlottesville in September and travels to James Madison's Montpelier in October, followed by a showing at The National Sporting Library in Middleburg in November.

Historic farms will be opened for tours with animal exhibits and the Grace Church will have artisans and informational booths that are agricultural related. Profits from tickets go to support local charities.

American Women Artists hosts their annual juried exhibit at Huff Harrington Fine Art in Atlanta. Thirty pieces were chosen for the exhibit juried by Signature Members of AWA and gallery owners Ann Huff and Meg Harrington. There will be media coverage of the event by Southwest Magazine, American Art Collector, and Art Connoisseur Magazine.

Partnering with the Piedmont Environmental Council in support of their Buy Fresh, Buy Local program, I am creating painted portraits of farm animals from regional farms. These farms are on the forefront of the sustainable food movement and exemplary for their humane treatment of animals.
A preview of the paintings and fundraiser for the Buy Fresh, Buy Local program will be held October 1 at Anchorage Farm followed by the Farm Use Exhibit at Chroma Projects on the downtown mall in Charlottesville the month of October.

The show, Color Study, takes as its starting point mid-century gestural painters and color field artists of the 1960s. It will include work by Kenneth Noland, Helen Frankenthaler, George Bireline and Frank Stella. It will then go on to explore various trajectories since 1960 and will include a number of contemporary regional artists. Nancy's painting Color Field Goat will be included in this exhibition.
